There are so many ways you can help the dogs and cats we save! Volunteering with us is rewarding. Donations are always welcomed and accepted. Look through our options for support and then choose the best way to lend a hand to the companion animals of Sierra County.
How Do We Cover Costs?
All Programs
It costs an average of $200.00 to ready each animal for adoption, sometimes much more for animals needing special medical attention. We receive no financial help from government entities, local or otherwise. All our funding comes from personal and corporate contributions. We hold a number of fund raising events each year to keep our non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization financially stable.
To continue our mission, we rely on:
1) Profits from Paws & Claws Thrift Shoppe
2) Revenues from Desert Haven RV Park
3) Your Generous Contributions, small or large, allow us to keep our companion animals healthy and happy in a home-like environment.
